Live AI Coastal Briefing
Good morning, everyone, it's Wednesday, 27 May, and I'm stoked to be bringing you the daily coastal weather report from our beautiful seaside destination. We're looking at a pretty calm and peaceful day ahead, with the sun hiding behind a thick layer of cloud cover, and a gentle breeze blowing in from the east. The temperature is currently sitting at a cool 11C, so you might want to grab a light jacket if you're heading out early.
Out on the water, conditions are looking ideal for paddleboarding, with a wave height of just 0.22m, making for a flat and glassy surface. The water temperature is a refreshing 16.5C, so if you're planning on getting in for a swim or a paddle, you might want to consider throwing on a 3/2 full wetsuit to stay warm. With high tide coming in at 2:15 pm, and low tide already passing at 6:50 am, it's going to be a great day to get out and enjoy the ocean.
If you're looking to get active today, the calm conditions make it a perfect day for a run or a cycle along the beachfront path, taking in the stunning views of the Gulf. For the anglers out there, the flat seas should make for some great fishing conditions, and with dolphins regularly spotted offshore, you might even catch a glimpse of these amazing creatures. Surfers might find the conditions a bit too calm for their liking, but paddleboarders and swimmers will be in their element.
As we head into the afternoon, the forecast is looking good, with no chance of rain and plenty of cloud cover to keep the sun's UV rays at bay. The maximum temperature is expected to reach 19C, so it should be a pleasant day to get out and enjoy all that our beautiful coastal destination has to offer. So, grab your sunscreen, your board, or your fishing rod, and get out there and make the most of this gorgeous day – we'll catch you back here tomorrow with another update.
