Live AI Coastal Briefing
G'day and welcome to your daily coastal weather report for Wednesday, 27 May. We're coming to you live from a tiny but powerful beach, often referred to as "Glamarama", which is renowned for packing a big punch when it comes to surf. The current temperature is sitting at 15C, and it's looking like it'll be a cool one today.
Out in the ocean, the wave height is currently at 2.26m, which is well overhead and definitely suited to expert surfers only. The water temperature is a pleasant 20.1C, so if you're planning on getting in the water, you might want to consider wearing a spring suit or rashie. We've got a high tide coming in at 05:46 pm, with a height of 2.1m, and a low tide at 11:16 am, with a height of -1.6m.
If you're planning on getting active today, the conditions are looking pretty good for running and cycling, with a gentle wind of 6 km/h from the west, gusting up to 13 km/h. For surfers, the big waves will be a major drawcard, while anglers might want to try their luck in the choppy conditions. Paddleboarders should be careful, though, as the waves are quite large and the strong rips could make it tricky to navigate.
As we head into the afternoon, the overcast conditions are expected to stick around, with no chance of rain and a low UV alert, so you won't need to worry too much about sun protection. The air quality is looking good, with an EU AQI of 25, so it's a great day to get out and enjoy the fresh air. We hope you have a fantastic day, and we'll catch you back here tomorrow with another update from the coast.
