The Landscape

Facing the west side of La Gomera, Playa de La Calera is framed by deep evening colour, dry cliffs and Atlantic swell arriving without much interruption.

At the waterline, dark sand, pebbles and volcanic rock appear in changing proportions after storms and seasonal swell. Access and water conditions at Playa de La Calera may be very different after swell, rain or rockfall, so an on-site check is essential.
