About Cala Millor

The Vibe

Cala Millor is a classic Mallorcan resort built around a long sandy beach, a level promenade and an easy rhythm of swimming, walking and evening dining.

The setting is lively and highly serviced, but the length of the shore gives more breathing room than a compact cove.

The beach faces east and is relatively open, so settled mornings can differ markedly from days with onshore wind.

It is the relationship between the shore and the place behind it that prevents the destination from feeling interchangeable.

As elsewhere in the Balearics, the coast is most rewarding when the beach is treated as part of a wider landscape of old towns, dry-stone country and short coastal walks.

Today's Beach Report

Saturday, July 11, is shaping up to be a fantastic day here on our beautiful coast. This morning, the clear skies and moderate breeze are setting the tone for a wonderful day ahead. With the temperature expected to rise to 34°C, it's going to be a warm and sunny day, perfect for all sorts of outdoor activities. As the day unfolds, we can expect plenty of sunshine and gentle winds, making it an ideal time to get out and enjoy all that our stunning coastline has to offer.

The beach is looking particularly inviting today, with moderate waves and very small ripples of 0.3m, making it excellent for all water sports. The warm Mediterranean water temperature of 27.4°C is just right for swimmers, surfers, and paddleboarders to enjoy their favorite activities. Surfers may find the moderate waves provide a fun challenge, while swimmers and paddleboarders will appreciate the calm and shallow water. If you're planning to take a boat out, be aware that the offshore conditions may differ, but for beachgoers, the nearshore waves and water conditions are perfect for a day of play.

For runners and cyclists, the morning conditions are ideal, with clear skies and a moderate breeze providing a comfortable environment for a workout. However, as we head into the afternoon, the wind is expected to become lighter, which may make for a more pleasant ride or run. But don't forget to take precautions against the sun, as the UV index forecast peak today is 9, which is very high. Be sure to avoid direct sun between 12pm and 4pm and make sure to wear full coverage to protect your skin. Whether you're planning a leisurely ride or a intense workout, the gentle afternoon winds will make for a enjoyable experience.

As the afternoon develops, we can expect the clear skies to continue, with light winds making for a perfect day to be outdoors. By lunchtime, the temperature will be rising, and the sun will be shining brightly, so be sure to take those precautions against the sun. As we head into this evening, the sky conditions may change, but for now, let's focus on making the most of this beautiful day. With so many activities to enjoy, from swimming and surfing to cycling and running, there's something for everyone to love. So why not get out there and make the most of this stunning Saturday - get active, have fun, and soak up the sunshine, and we'll see you back here tomorrow.

The Setting

The Local Anchor

At the southern end, the protected Punta de n’Amer peninsula and its historic watchtower provide the strongest natural and cultural anchor.

The resort spans the municipalities of Sant Llorenç des Cardassar and Son Servera, with older inland towns behind the modern beachfront.

Together, these landmarks explain why the modern beach should be read as one chapter in a much longer coastal story.

The Landscape

A broad strip of pale sand runs beside low dunes and promenade planting, with the headland enclosing the southern view.

The coast is flatter and more accessible than Mallorca’s mountain coves, making it especially suited to long waterfront walks.

The experience is strongly seasonal: high summer brings fuller beaches and busier roads, while spring and autumn reveal more of the island’s walking, village and maritime character.

Cala Millor is for travellers prioritising convenience, space and a full resort infrastructure over seclusion.

For a first visit, the most useful approach is to walk the waterfront before choosing where to settle, because exposure, access and atmosphere can change over a surprisingly short distance.

Whatever the season, wind, swell, tide and beach flags remain more reliable than appearance alone when deciding whether to enter the water.
