About Playa de los Haraganes
Los Haraganes is relaxed, open and less concentrated than the busier entrances around the main resort areas. Families, walkers and visitors from nearby apartments spread along a generous frontage, while the firm lower beach at low tide supports long walks towards Punta del Moral.
Wind and Atlantic swell are part of the experience. Calm mornings suit conventional bathing, while breezier periods attract sailing, windsurfing and kite activity in appropriate zones. Seasonal services are available near the recognised accesses, but the beach retains a stronger sense of space between them.

The Setting
Playa de Los Haraganes forms the broad Atlantic shoreline between Punta del Moral and the main Isla Canela beach. Its fine sand, dune-backed areas and nearby holiday development make it a spacious family beach with marina and estuary landscapes close by.
Punta del Moral and its marina lie at the eastern end. The fishing village provides seafood restaurants and a visible connection with the boats working around the Carreras estuary. Ayamonte remains the municipal centre, linking the coast with the Guadiana river and the Portuguese border.
The name Los Haraganes is used for this distinct section of the long Isla Canela shoreline. Its location between marina development and the main western beach helps visitors understand the coast as a sequence rather than one undifferentiated resort frontage.
Fine golden sand faces the Atlantic beneath a wide western sky. Low dunes and salt-tolerant vegetation occupy parts of the rear shoreline, followed by residential development, access roads and occasional beach businesses.
Eastward, the beach approaches Punta del Moral, marina structures and estuary channels. Westward, it continues towards Isla Canela and the mouth of the Guadiana. The surrounding terrain is exceptionally flat, allowing marsh, dune and horizon to remain visible over long distances. Los Haraganes is defined by width and transition: open beach between a fishing-marina settlement and the quieter outer end of Isla Canela. Low dunes behind the sand also provide a clearer natural break from the nearby residential roads.
