About Playa Peralto
The atmosphere is subdued and personal. Peralto suits a short rest, a shoreline walk or a calm pause beside the ria more than a full day of organised beach activity. The available sand changes with the tide, and at some stages the water comes close to the upper edge. This constant movement gives the beach variety, while the limited scale discourages the large summer crowds found at Boiro's better-known beaches.

The Setting
Peralto is a compact tidal beach on the Boiro side of the Ria de Arousa, close to the settled coastal landscape around Lampon. It is a modest local shore rather than a major visitor beach, with homes, lanes and everyday estuary activity remaining part of the scene. Its attraction comes from quietness, changing light and the sense of standing directly within a lived-in Galician waterfront.
Lampon and the wider municipality provide the local frame. Boiro has grown along the estuary through a sequence of villages, residential shores, small harbours and working shellfish areas. Fishing, mussel cultivation and seafood processing remain important parts of that identity. Peralto belongs to this pattern, where a beach may sit only a short distance from houses and roads yet still open directly onto the productive waters of Arousa.
The shoreline is low and tidal, with sand, shallow water and darker intertidal ground appearing in different proportions through the day. Across the ria, distant margins, boats and aquaculture platforms break up the horizon. Behind the coast, the Barbanza hills give the area a stronger sense of enclosure than an open-ocean beach. Peralto is not dramatic, and that honesty is part of its value. It offers a small-scale encounter with the estuary, where reflections, tide and daily local movement matter more than broad dunes or powerful surf. Visitors should expect limited space and a setting shaped by the tide rather than a fixed, wide beach. Footwear can be useful when darker intertidal areas or small stones appear near the waterline.
