About El Faro
The Vibe
El Faro is a compact sandy cove tucked beneath the rocky Cabo de Cullera, where cliffs and offshore stone create a more enclosed atmosphere than the town’s long central beaches.
The shore feels intimate and lively. Fine sand occupies a narrow curve beside a pedestrian promenade, while rocky margins bring texture to the water and attract snorkellers and divers during calm conditions. Because the cove is small, summer occupation can feel high even without the scale of the crowds found at Sant Antoni.
The surrounding headland gives the beach a sense of separation, although restaurants, accommodation and local transport remain close by.

The Setting
El Faro — A Small Cove Beneath Cullera’s Cape
The Local Anchor
The lighthouse and cape provide the immediate local anchor.
From the upper viewpoints, the coast opens north towards the dunes of El Dosel and south towards Cullera’s urban bay. Nearby, the Cueva-Museo del Pirata Dragut interprets the sixteenth-century attack traditionally associated with the corsair Dragut, connecting the quiet modern cove with the Mediterranean’s older defensive history.
Cullera itself lies around its mountain and castle, with rice, fish and seafood defining much of the local table.
The Landscape
El Faro extends for approximately 140 metres and averages around 18 metres wide.
It lies between the beach of El Dosel and Los Olivos, enclosed by the coastal cliffs of the cape. Fine sand forms the main bathing area, while rock appears at both ends and beneath parts of the water.
Seasonal lifeguards, foot-washing points, toilets, play facilities and nearby restaurants support visitors. The rocky setting also makes it one of Cullera’s recognised locations for recreational diving and snorkelling.
El Faro’s character comes from contrast: a small urban cove held between cliff, lighthouse and clear Mediterranean water.
