About Cala Gat

The Vibe

Cala Martina gathers around a low, open bay on Ibiza’s eastern coast, where fine pale sand slopes gradually towards water broken by the silhouettes of small offshore islands.

The beach is neither isolated nor heavily enclosed. Tourist facilities sit behind it, yet the broad outlook towards Illa de Santa Eulària, Illa Rodona and the other nearby islets keeps the setting connected to the sea. Boats, paddle craft and sailing activity may bring movement in season, but the bay’s scale remains measured rather than theatrical.

This is a practical, lived-in beach whose appeal comes from its soft approach to the water and its clear eastern horizon.

The Setting

Cala Martina — A Gentle Bay Below Punta Arabí

The Local Anchor

Cala Martina lies in Santa Eulària des Riu, close to Es Canar and Punta Arabí. The latter is known for its long-running weekly market, a gathering of craft stalls, clothing, music and food that has become one of the best-known visitor traditions on this side of Ibiza.

At the edge of the beach, traditional boat shelters provide a quieter local detail. They sit alongside modern tourism without disappearing beneath it, linking Cala Martina to the island’s small-scale coastal working landscape.

The Landscape

Official Balearic tourism information describes a beach of roughly 250 metres, formed from fine, light-coloured sand with a very gentle gradient. The seabed combines sand, rock and Posidonia, while the bay opens towards several small islands.

Cala Martina is reached by following signs from Santa Eulària towards Es Canar and Punta Arabí. Parking is available nearby, and the beach can also be approached by bicycle or public transport. Seasonal beach bars, sunbed and parasol hire sit behind the sand, making this an accessible eastern-Ibiza shore rather than a remote cove.
