About Cap Blanc

The Vibe

Cap Blanc forms part of the long pebble shoreline where l’Alfàs del Pi gives way visually to Altea.

The atmosphere is open, bright and less enclosed than the rocky coves beneath Serra Gelada. White and pale-grey stones replace soft sand, while clear water and a broad coastal outlook attract swimmers, walkers and visitors using the promenade.

The shoreline can feel calm in settled weather, but moderate waves quickly become noticeable across the sloping pebble entry.

The Setting

Cap Blanc — Pebbles at the Albir–Altea Boundary

The Local Anchor

The nearest local centre is l’Albir, the coastal district of l’Alfàs del Pi.

Its promenade leads south towards Serra Gelada and the path to the Albir lighthouse, while the northern view opens towards Altea’s marina, white old town and church domes. The boundary between Albir and Cap Blanc is not visually sharp, and the two shorelines merge into one continuous waterfront.

Restaurants and cafés along the promenade connect the beach with fish, rice dishes and the international character of the Marina Baixa.

The Landscape

Cap Blanc is a long, relatively narrow beach composed mainly of pebbles and gravel.

The coordinates in the CSV place this bathing-water point at the northern end of l’Alfàs del Pi, close to the municipal boundary with Altea. Wider tourism descriptions sometimes assign the broader Cap Blanc beach to Altea, so the exact administrative section should remain tied to the BWID and coordinates.

The coast is semi-urban, with a promenade, nearby road, restaurants and easy pedestrian access. Marinas lie close by in Altea.

Its character is transitional: l’Albir behind, Altea ahead and a continuous band of pale stone following the Mediterranean between them.
