The Vibe

Les Deveses is the southernmost beach in Oliva, a broad band of fine golden sand where dunes, wind and open Mediterranean water create a more natural atmosphere than the town’s central beaches.

The shore feels spacious even when summer visitors gather near the main entrances. Wind is a regular presence and gives the beach an active character, attracting experienced water-sports users outside the marked bathing areas when regulations and conditions allow.

Away from the busiest access points, the dominant impressions are simple: pale sand, low dune vegetation and a long horizon continuing towards Dénia.

The Local Anchor

The beach marks the transition from La Safor to the northern edge of the Marina Alta.

Oliva provides the principal local anchor, with a historic centre rising inland beneath the remains of its castle and an agricultural plain extending towards the coast. Dénia begins immediately beyond the southern municipal boundary.

Rice dishes, fish, citrus and vegetables connect the beach with the irrigated landscapes and maritime traditions shared across both comarcas.

The Landscape

Les Deveses is approximately 700 metres long and can reach around 100 metres in width.

Its fine golden sand is backed by low dunes and scattered residential development rather than a continuous promenade. The beach remains one of Oliva’s more natural coastal sections and forms part of a wider effort to protect and restore dune access.

Seasonal provisions include lifeguards, first aid, toilets, foot-washing points, wooden walkways, parking and marked bathing areas. Water-sports launching is regulated and should be used only through authorised channels.

Les Deveses’ character lies in openness: a broad southern shore where Oliva’s dunes meet the windy coastal landscape leading towards Dénia.
