The Vibe

Platja Llarga forms a long, calm continuation of El Francàs, with golden sand stretching beneath trees, shrubs and a low residential coastline.

The atmosphere is settled and unhurried. Houses lie within walking distance, yet the beach retains more breathing room than a dense resort frontage. Families gather near the principal access points, while the length of the shore allows quieter sections to remain between them.

Calm water and a broad sandy surface make the beach well suited to relaxed bathing, walking and light recreational activity when local conditions permit.

The Local Anchor

The beach belongs to Roda de Berà, a municipality whose coastline combines modern holiday neighbourhoods with some of the Costa Daurada’s most recognisable heritage.

Nearby, the Arc de Berà preserves the Roman presence along the ancient Via Augusta, while the seaside enclave of Roc de Sant Gaietà presents a very different collection of courtyards, arches and Mediterranean-style buildings overlooking the coast.

These landmarks give the area an identity extending far beyond its residential beach frontage.

The Landscape

Platja Llarga extends for approximately 970 metres and averages around 30 metres wide.

Its golden sand forms a semi-urban strip backed by vegetation and local housing rather than cliffs or high-rise hotels. The beach continues the same coastal line as El Francàs and approaches the wider sands of Roda de Berà.

Official facilities include showers, cleaning, bins and seasonal rental of loungers, parasols and watercraft. The marina of Roda de Berà lies a short distance away.

The landscape is gentle rather than dramatic: calm water, low vegetation and a long sandy edge connecting the residential coast with the historic territory of Roda de Berà.
