About Platja Llarga
The Vibe
Platja Llarga offers a quieter side of Salou, where golden sand curves beneath pine-covered ground away from the busiest central waterfront.
The beach remains popular, particularly in summer, but its position beyond the main resort centre creates a softer atmosphere. Hotels appear at either end, while the central view is shaped by sand, water, pine trees and the pedestrian route running behind the shore.
Calm bathing water and seasonal nautical activities make it suitable for a relaxed beach day, although its semi-urban setting means it is never completely removed from holiday life.

The Setting
Platja Llarga — Pine Shade on the Edge of Cap Salou
The Local Anchor
The local anchor is Cap Salou, the rocky coastal area separating Salou’s principal beaches from a sequence of smaller coves.
The coastal path links viewpoints, pinewoods and sheltered inlets, revealing a landscape more varied than the broad resort beach of Llevant. Salou’s centre remains close enough for restaurants, transport and entertainment, but Platja Llarga feels visually distinct from the promenade-lined heart of town.
Its identity comes from this meeting of established tourism and a surviving pine-fringed shore.
The Landscape
Official records give Platja Llarga a length of approximately 600 metres and an average width of around 30 metres.
The surface is golden sand and the usual bathing conditions are described as calm. A substantial pine grove rises behind the beach, while a pedestrian promenade follows the shoreline.
Facilities include toilets, showers, cleaning, loungers and parasols, watercraft rental and a recognised surf or nautical activity area. Parasailing may also be offered seasonally through local operators.
Platja Llarga is not a hidden natural cove, but it preserves enough vegetation and distance from central Salou to offer a calmer Mediterranean setting.
