Es Rajoli
The Local Anchor
The profound tranquility of Es Rajoli finds a spiritual counterpart in the nearby town of Son Servera, at the remarkable Església Nova. This "New Church," an unfinished masterpiece by a disciple of Gaudí, stands open to the sky, its neo-Gothic arches framing the heavens. Begun in 1905 but never completed, its skeletal beauty offers a silent, poignant testament to history. Much like the secluded cove, the church provides a space for quiet reflection, a cultural touchstone that deepens the experience of this coastline. It is a place where art and nature conspire to create a uniquely serene Mallorcan memory.
The Landscape
Es Rajoli is an intimate curve of sand and fine gravel, nestled within the exclusive Costa dels Pins. The cove, a modest 70 metres in length, is backed by a curtain of deep green pines that offer a welcome respite from the midday sun. Luxurious villas peek from the surrounding hills, their presence felt but not intrusive. The water is a transparent invitation, its clarity revealing a seabed of sand and rock perfect for exploring. Often, the shoreline is graced by carpets of Posidonia, a testament to the health of these Mediterranean waters. Access is discreet, down a flight of stairs that leads you to this charming corner of the coast.
