Agios Georgios Pagon

Agios Georgios Pagon is a broad horseshoe-shaped bay on Corfu’s northwestern coast, with a long beach below green hills and rugged headlands. It has the facilities of an established holiday beach without the concentrated resort feel of Sidari or Ipsos. Tavernas, accommodation and organised sections make the day easy, while the scale of the bay preserves a strong sense of space.

The Vibe

The atmosphere is calm, spacious and gently social. Families come for the room and practical facilities, couples for the scenery, and walkers use the area as a base for viewpoints and routes toward Afionas. The central sections can be busy in summer, but the beach is long enough for quieter stretches away from the main accesses.

The Local Anchor

The local anchor is the relationship between the bay, the small resort settlement and the hills above it. Afionas adds a second identity, with traditional lanes, sunset viewpoints and the walking route toward Porto Timoni.

The Landscape

The bay faces open Ionian water and can be more exposed than Corfu’s eastern shore. On calm days it is well suited to swimming and paddling, but wind and swell can change conditions noticeably. Beach depth and seabed character vary along the bay, so local flags and daily guidance remain important.
