About Playa de Cavannas
Cavanna feels busy, practical and strongly connected with holiday accommodation. Families use the gently shelving shore, paddlers and small craft appear offshore and walkers follow the lagoon edge between neighbouring residential sections. Summer use is high around the main entrances.
The Mar Menor normally has limited wave action, though wind can quickly create choppy water. The fine sandy entry suits ordinary bathing, while seasonal services and nearby businesses support a full day. Visitors should keep clear of moorings and marked small-boat areas.

The Setting
Playa de Cavanna follows the Mar Menor side of central La Manga beside the Cavanna hotel and residential district. Its fine sand, shallow lagoon water and long urban frontage make it a convenient family beach with the Mediterranean coast only a short walk away.
The Hotel Cavanna and surrounding residential district provide the immediate reference. This central section of La Manga developed around apartments, hotels and two-sea access, with commercial services close behind the beach.
Plaza Bohemia lies nearby, while Galua occupies the open Mediterranean side across the narrow strip. Cala del Pino and Puerto Bello sit along neighbouring lagoon sections.
Fine golden sand forms a long, relatively narrow beach below hotels, apartment buildings, palms and paved access paths. The Mar Menor extends west beneath a broad sky, with mainland hills forming the distant horizon.
Small piers and moored craft add visual detail without creating a major harbour. Sunset light reaches directly across the lagoon. Cavanna is defined by convenience and geography: shallow water, urban accommodation and a second sea available only a few streets away. The promenade and residential streets also provide frequent access points, making it easy to choose a quieter section away from the largest hotel entrance. Evening light across the lagoon is particularly strong. The lagoon-side route is suitable for a slow evening walk, while shops and cafes remain close behind the beach. The western horizon stays broad, calm and visually fully open.
