About Playas los Alisios

The Vibe

Los Alisios feels open, calm and well suited to gentle family activity. Walkers use the long waterline, children play in the shallows and wind-powered craft appear when the breeze strengthens. The extended frontage gives visitors more room than the compact coves around central La Manga.

The Mar Menor normally produces limited waves, but wind can quickly create a choppy surface. Seasonal facilities are concentrated around recognised entrances rather than spread continuously. Visitors should keep clear of moorings and marked small-craft areas and use current local information when deciding where to bathe.

The Setting

About Playa Los Alisios

Playa Los Alisios lies on the Mar Menor side of southern La Manga within San Javier municipality. Its long shallow shoreline, fine sand and residential access create a relaxed lagoon beach stretching towards the districts nearer Cabo de Palos.

The Local Anchor

The Los Alisios district occupies a southern section of La Manga's lagoon shore. El Galan lies north, while Puerto Bello, La Gola and the entrance towards Cabo de Palos continue south.

The Mediterranean side remains only a short walk across the strip and provides a direct comparison with the enclosed lagoon. Shops and restaurants sit along the Gran Via and within surrounding residential developments.

The Landscape

Fine golden sand follows a long, low shoreline below apartments, palms, access lanes and occasional jetties. The broad Mar Menor stretches west towards the mainland ridges, creating a long and low horizon.

The flat setting produces clear sunset views and emphasises La Manga's narrow barrier-strip geography. Buildings remain close, but the long waterline prevents the beach from feeling enclosed. Los Alisios is defined by breadth and shallowness: a residential Mar Menor shore suited to walking, paddling and quiet evening light. The beach's long form also makes it useful for early walking and gentle exercise before daytime heat builds. Different access points create subtle changes in width, nearby services and the amount of small-boat activity offshore. Natural shade remains very limited along the fully exposed lagoon edge.
