About Playa Estrella de Mar
Estrella de Mar feels calm, local and lightly commercial. Residents walk directly from nearby streets, families use the gently shelving water and small boats or paddlecraft appear offshore. The beach is compact, so activity remains concentrated around the recognised access points.
The Mar Menor normally has little wave action, although wind can roughen the surface quickly. Natural material may gather along the waterline, and the available upper beach can be narrow. Visitors should use maintained sections and follow current local information about bathing conditions.

The Setting
Playa Estrella de Mar lies on the western Mar Menor between Los Urrutias and El Carmoli. Its narrow sandy shore, shallow lagoon water and low residential backdrop create a quiet neighbourhood beach with broad views towards La Manga.
The Estrella de Mar residential settlement provides the immediate reference, with low homes, local services and a waterfront arranged along the western lagoon. Los Urrutias lies south, while El Carmoli and its volcanic hill stand north.
The surrounding Campo de Cartagena remains flat and agricultural, with Cartagena inland and La Manga visible across the water. The setting is more residential than resort-focused.
Fine sand and occasional gravel form a narrow shoreline below houses, palms, small jetties and patches of low vegetation. The lagoon opens eastward beneath a broad sky.
La Manga creates a long distant line across the water, while Isla Perdiguera and low lagoon features may be visible in clear conditions. Sunset light falls from behind the village and stretches across the shore. Estrella de Mar is defined by simplicity: shallow water, low homes and an uninterrupted Mar Menor horizon. The beach works best as a local neighbourhood shore rather than a destination with extensive facilities. Short walks along the waterfront reveal reed patches, moorings and subtle changes in the lagoon edge. The settlement's modest scale keeps the beach closely tied to year-round residents. Quiet evenings suit walking, birdwatching and simple time beside the lagoon.
