Playa Paseo de Manzanares

Manzanares feels local, sociable and especially convenient for a shorter beach visit. Residents use the shore throughout the year, families settle close to maintained entrances and walkers move between the central waterfront sections. The limited frontage makes summer activity noticeable without creating the scale of a large resort beach.

Lagoon water is generally shallow and less exposed than the Mediterranean, although wind can still create choppy conditions. Seasonal services and nearby town facilities support ordinary bathing. Visitors should follow current local information and keep clear of small boats, moorings and any marked water-sport routes.

Playa Paseo de Manzanares occupies a central section of the Los Alcazares shoreline between Paseo del Espejo and La Concha. Its fine sand, shallow Mar Menor water and immediate relationship with the promenade make it a compact urban beach beside the town's older streets.

The older urban centre of Los Alcazares provides the main reference. Streets leading inland connect the shore with restaurants, shops and buildings associated with the town's traditional role as a Mar Menor bathing destination.

Paseo del Espejo lies north, while La Concha and Carrion continue south. The connected promenade makes it easy to experience several named sections without leaving the waterfront. Local food reflects the lagoon through fish, rice and seafood dishes.

Fine golden sand forms a low urban edge beneath palms, promenade paving, apartments and small public spaces. Piers and moored craft create local detail across the shallow water.

La Manga forms a distant eastern horizon, while the flat Campo de Cartagena lies behind the town. Evening light extends across the lagoon and softens the central buildings. Paseo de Manzanares is defined by compact urban continuity: old-centre streets, promenade and gentle Mar Menor water gathered within a short and walkable beach section. The short section works especially well for a simple swim or promenade stop rather than a full day with extensive equipment.
