Playa o Fogareiro

O Fogareiro feels natural, calm and unhurried. There is no dense resort backdrop, and the beach experience is defined by sand, water and the surrounding hills. Playa O Fogareiro is a sheltered beach near Louro on the northern side of the entrance to the Ria de Muros e Noia. It combines pale sand, a rustic setting and views shaped by Monte Louro and the surrounding coves. The beach is less exposed than the fully Atlantic-facing shores beyond the headland, yet it remains closely connected to the wider coastal landscape. It suits visitors looking for a quieter alternative near San Francisco and Louro.

Louro is the closest village reference, while Muros provides the historic and maritime anchor. The road between them links beaches, rocky points and residential stretches along the northern shore of the ria. Monte Louro, rising at the mouth of the estuary, gives the area its most recognisable profile.
