Playa de Cap de Sant Pere

The mood is relaxed rather than remote overall. There is enough activity to make the beach practical for a full day, yet it sits away from the busiest harbour streets. In summer the sand is sociable, especially around the principal access points, while mornings and later afternoons suit quieter walks and an unhurried swim when sea conditions are suitable.

Cap de Sant Pere is the easternmost beach of Cambrils, meeting the boundary with Salou at the far end of the town's long waterfront. It feels more residential than central Cambrils, with holiday apartments, family groups and regular walkers sharing a shore that is easy to reach from the seafront avenue.

The beach belongs to the Vilafortuny side of Cambrils, a coastal district connected to the town by the continuous promenade and cycle route. That link is important to the character of Cap de Sant Pere: visitors can stay beside the water and follow the shoreline west through Vilafortuny and l'Esquirol towards the fishing port. Cambrils remains strongly associated with its harbour, fish market and seafood cooking, but this end of the municipality offers a gentler, more residential version of the resort. Water-sports activity and seasonal beach services add convenience without turning the setting into a major entertainment beach.

The shore is formed from fine golden sand with a broad Mediterranean outlook and a low, built backdrop. It is a semi-urban beach rather than a wild cove, but the open horizon and long coastal line prevent it from feeling enclosed. Access walkways cross the sand, and the promenade makes arrival on foot or by bicycle straightforward. The water is often suitable for family bathing, although wind and waves can change quickly and local flags should always guide decisions. Cap de Sant Pere's defining feature is its position: it closes the Cambrils coastline and creates a natural transition towards Salou, combining an accessible beach layout with the quieter rhythm of the eastern residential shore.
