About Playa s'Illot
The atmosphere is intimate and unhurried. Local families, snorkellers and visitors exploring the north coast share a narrow shore where space can disappear quickly in summer. There is little room for organised beach activity, and the sound of water against stone usually matters more than music or resort entertainment.
The seabed includes rock and gravel, so footwear is useful and entry should be cautious. Calm weather can provide good visibility around the cove's edges, but swell makes the same rocks slippery and hazardous. Swimmers should remain aware of small boats and avoid using the fishermen's slipways as sunbathing areas.

The Setting
S'Illot d'en Rencli is a tiny northern Ibiza cove where coarse sand, pebbles and traditional fishermen's huts meet clear-looking water beneath pine-covered slopes. Its compact size and rocky setting make it a place for a quiet swim or lunch rather than a large, fully serviced beach day.
The old boathouses are the cove's defining human feature. Built close to the water, they protected small craft and fishing equipment from weather and remain part of the maritime character of northern Ibiza. A long-established restaurant above the shore keeps the cove connected with local fish and rice dishes without changing its small scale.
The coastal road links S'Illot with Cala Xarraca, Portinatx and the rural parish of Sant Joan de Labritja. Services outside the immediate cove are scattered, so visitors should not expect the convenience of a continuous resort promenade.
Low reddish rock encloses a short band of pale gravel and sand, with pine and scrub descending towards the sea. A small rocky islet offshore gives the beach its name and creates an additional focal point across the water.
The cove is visually rich despite its limited dimensions. Weathered timber doors, stone slipways, transparent shallows and irregular rock form a distinctly Ibizan coastal scene. Shade moves across parts of the shore as the sun changes position, but it is not guaranteed. S'Illot d'en Rencli rewards light packing, careful swimming and an appreciation of traditional coastal details rather than broad sand or extensive facilities.
