The Vibe

Bellreguard is a straightforward Mediterranean beach of fine golden sand, calm water and a long promenade used throughout the summer day.

The atmosphere is lively and family-oriented. Apartments, restaurants and seasonal services stand close to the shore, while sports areas and children’s facilities give the beach the rhythm of a small, established holiday settlement.

Wind is a familiar part of the coast, but ordinary bathing conditions are generally calm. The wide horizon and level promenade make the beach equally suited to swimming, morning walks and quieter evenings beside the water.

The Local Anchor

The local anchor is Bellreguard, whose historic town lies inland from its separate beach neighbourhood.

Between the two stretches the cultivated plain of La Safor, traditionally shaped by irrigation, citrus and market gardening. Gandia lies close to the north and provides the area’s principal port, cultural centre and strong culinary association with fideuà.

Bellreguard retains a smaller municipal identity, with the beach functioning as its summer-facing counterpart on the Mediterranean.

The Landscape

The recognised beach extends for approximately 700 metres and averages around 30 metres wide.

Its surface is fine golden sand, and official records describe the water as calm but the location as sometimes windy. The beach is fully urban and receives high occupation during the principal holiday season.

A broad promenade runs behind the sand. Facilities include foot-washing points, cleaning, a tourist office, sports areas and children’s play spaces, with additional seasonal services nearby.

Bellreguard’s appeal is uncomplicated: an accessible, well-used shore combining calm water, fine sand and the flat agricultural landscape of La Safor immediately inland.
