About Playa de l'Aigua Blanca

The Vibe

The atmosphere is relaxed and active in equal measure. Families spread across the broad sand, walkers follow the waterline and water-sport schools use suitable sections when conditions allow. The beach has enough room to absorb summer visitors without losing the open feeling created by its length and width. Quieter nearby sections remain available beyond the busiest access boardwalks and seasonal beach bars.

Wind and waves can change during the day, so swimming should follow flags and lifeguard advice. Nautical activities must remain within marked zones. The dunes are living coastal defences, and visitors should use boardwalks rather than crossing vegetation directly.

The Setting

About

Aigua Blanca is one of Oliva's long dune-backed beaches, extending south of the main Pau Pi holiday area along a less urbanised section of coast. Fine golden sand, generous width and surviving dune vegetation give it a spacious natural character while seasonal services keep it practical for a full beach day.

The Local Anchor

Oliva's yacht club and the Pau Pi district lie to the north, while the coast continues south towards Rabdells and the quieter beaches near Oliva Nova. The inland town retains a historic centre with Moorish and Christian quarters, markets and views from the Santa Anna hill.

Oliva's beaches are closely linked with sport. Sailing, paddleboarding, windsurfing and other activities are offered along the coast, while Aigua Blanca has hosted morning fitness and martial-arts sessions near the first-aid area during summer programmes.

The Landscape

Aigua Blanca extends for about 1.75 kilometres and reaches a generous width in many sections. Fine sand is backed by dunes covered with plants adapted to salt, wind and shifting ground.

Development remains low compared with Pau Pi, so the horizon and dune line dominate the scene. Behind the coast, irrigation channels and the wider plain lead towards the Marjal de Pego-Oliva wetland farther south. The beach's defining quality is continuity: a long band of sand where urban Oliva gradually gives way to a greener, more open shoreline.
