About Playa Playa Riguete
Rihuete is lively, practical and active throughout the year. Families gather near the serviced entrances, walkers and runners use the promenade and visitors move easily between the sand and central streets. The long frontage allows activity to spread beyond the busiest harbour-side section.
Mediterranean conditions are often manageable, although wind and local waves still vary. Seasonal rescue services, accessible facilities, play areas and nearby food businesses support a complete beach day. Morning is popular for exercise, while evenings bring people back to the seafront after the strongest heat.

The Setting
Playa Rihuete lies immediately east of Puerto de Mazarron's harbour and central waterfront. Its long fine sand, broad promenade and close access to restaurants, accommodation and everyday services make it one of the town's most convenient family beaches.
Puerto de Mazarron's fishing and leisure harbour provides the defining western landmark. Working boats, marina activity and waterfront restaurants connect Rihuete with the town's continuing maritime economy.
The old settlement grew through fishing, mining exports and summer tourism. The Phoenician-ship interpretation centre and archaeological sites around the bay reveal a much older connection with Mediterranean trade. El Alamillo lies east beyond the urban edge.
Fine golden-grey sand follows a long urban curve beneath palms, promenade paving, apartments and hotels. Harbour structures shape one end, while the shoreline becomes more residential towards the east.
The dry hills of the Mazarron coast rise inland behind the developed strip. Westward, the promenade reaches the port and central beaches; eastward, it continues towards El Alamillo and El Mojon. Rihuete is defined by accessibility and continuity: harbour, town, promenade and broad family beach operating as one connected waterfront. The promenade also provides a mostly level connection towards El Alamillo, making Rihuete useful for longer walks beyond the central harbour. Public transport and town parking options are closer here than at the more remote beaches west of Bolnuevo. The central location also makes shops, pharmacies and everyday services easy to reach.
