Playa Corrubedo

The atmosphere is informal and local. Boats, tidal movement and everyday village life shape the scene more than organised beach entertainment. On settled days the shore can feel calm and sociable, while windier weather brings the Atlantic character of the headland to the foreground. Praia de Corrubedo is the village beach beside Corrubedo on the western coast of Ribeira. It is a compact, lived-in shore where houses, lanes and the maritime edge sit close together. The setting is very different from the long dune-backed sands nearby: this beach belongs to the village itself, making it easy to combine time by the water with a walk through Corrubedo's streets and harbour area.
