About Playa Badia Sant Antoni
The mood is informal, friendly and closely tied to the surrounding holiday district. Families and nearby residents use the compact shore, while visitors stop during walks around the Cala de Bou waterfront. The beach can fill quickly because it is narrow and only around a modest section of the bay. Its scale suits shorter, uncomplicated beach visits.
Its sheltered position often produces moderate-looking water, but boats, wind and bay traffic remain important. Swimmers should follow flags, stay within marked areas and avoid assuming that shallow water removes all risk. Rocky patches around the edges call for footwear if visitors leave the central sand.

The Setting
S'Estanyol is a small urban beach within Cala de Bou on the southern side of Sant Antoni Bay. Its medium-grain pale sand, shallow-looking water and close accommodation make it a convenient local bathing place rather than a dramatic rural cove.
Cala de Bou is the immediate anchor, a developed coastal strip in Sant Josep de sa Talaia facing Sant Antoni across Portmany Bay. The opposite town is visually dominant, which often causes confusion about the municipal boundary, but S'Estanyol belongs to Sant Josep.
Nearby Calo d'en Serral and Es Pinet are separate beaches within the same urban sequence. Local roads, accommodation and restaurants connect them, while the bay itself provides a continuous visual link. S'Estanyol should therefore be understood as one small named beach within a much larger resort waterfront.
A narrow strip of pale sand and occasional rock sits below low-rise development. The cove faces west into the broad bay, with Sant Antoni's buildings, harbour activity and surrounding hills visible across the water.
There are no high cliffs or large dune systems. The appeal comes from ease and orientation: the sea is immediately accessible, services are nearby and the opposite shoreline creates an attractive layered view. Late-afternoon light often strengthens the colours across the bay, making S'Estanyol particularly pleasant for a short swim followed by an evening walk.
