About Playa de s'Arenal
The beach is lively, convenient and strongly connected with the town. Families use the shallow-looking bay edge, young visitors gather near the promenade, and walkers pass throughout the day. It is not a secluded Ibizan cove, but it offers an easy place to swim or rest without leaving Sant Antoni.
Water inside the bay can appear calmer than the open coast, yet boat traffic and marked channels require attention. Swimmers should remain within designated areas and follow flags or lifeguard advice. The beach is narrow in parts, so it can feel busy during peak summer hours, while mornings are generally quieter. Its level promenade also makes the area practical for an easy evening stroll.

The Setting
Playa de s'Arenal, also known as Es Reguero, is the main urban beach of Sant Antoni de Portmany. It runs beside the town's promenade and bay, placing the port, restaurants, accommodation and everyday resort activity directly behind the sand.
Sant Antoni's port is the immediate landmark, handling ferries, excursion boats and local maritime activity. The promenade links the beach with the town centre, the church and the waterfront route around the bay.
The famous sunset coastline lies on the opposite side of the town rather than directly on s'Arenal. Visitors can walk towards Calo des Moro and the western seafront later in the day, but the urban beach itself faces into Sant Antoni Bay and is better known for convenience and activity than for an unobstructed sunset horizon.
S'Arenal is a long, low bay beach backed by a continuous urban promenade. Sand, shallow water and harbour views create a practical resort scene, with hotels and restaurants forming the rear edge.
Across the bay, the developed shoreline of Port des Torrent and Sant Josep is visible in the distance. The setting is enclosed compared with Cala Salada or the island's exposed western coves. Its character comes from being part of the town: a beach where swimming, port life, transport and evening entertainment all meet along one accessible waterfront.
