About Playa de Les Palmeretes

The Vibe

The beach feels relaxed, sociable and unpretentious. Families settle near the village accesses, walkers follow the waterline and regular visitors move between the sand, apartments and local cafes. At around one and a half kilometres long, the shore offers enough room for busy sections and quieter stretches during the main season.

The water entry often looks gentle, but wind and wave conditions can change across this open coast. Swimmers should follow flags and lifeguard instructions, while craft channels and sporting areas must remain clear. The fine sand becomes hot in midsummer, and natural shade is limited away from the built frontage.

The Setting

About

Les Palmeres is a long fine-sand beach on Sueca's Mediterranean coast, backed by the seaside settlement of the same name and the flat rice-growing plain beyond. Its broad shoreline and residential summer atmosphere make it one of the municipality's most familiar family beaches.

The Local Anchor

Les Palmeres belongs to Sueca, a municipality closely identified with rice cultivation and the southern landscape of the Albufera. The inland town, surrounding paddies and irrigation network explain why local food and seasonal life remain strongly connected with water even away from the beach.

The coastal settlements of Sueca form a chain rather than one continuous resort. La Llastra and El Perello lie to the north, while Mareny de Barraquetes, Bega de Mar and Mareny de Vilxes continue south. Les Palmeres sits near the centre of this lived-in summer coastline.

The Landscape

Fine pale sand forms a wide, low beach with a clear Mediterranean horizon. The rear edge is residential, but development generally remains modest enough for the beach to retain an open feeling. The flatness of the land allows sky and sea to dominate.

There are no cliffs, rocky headlands or major port structures. The scenery is defined by continuity: sand, low houses, the agricultural plain and distant wetland landscape. Les Palmeres is best for visitors seeking a straightforward family beach with a strong connection to Sueca's coastal villages and rice-growing hinterland.
