About Playa del Mareny de Vilxes
The mood is peaceful and family-oriented. Summer residents gather near the streets leading from the village, while walkers and swimmers find more space along the wider sections of shore. The beach is sociable without the constant movement of a major promenade, making it well suited to a simple full day beside the sea. Walkers can follow the shoreline for considerable distances in either direction.
The open exposure means waves and wind can change conditions quickly. Flags and lifeguard instructions should guide swimming, and visitors should not assume that a broad sandy entry is uniformly shallow. Natural shade is limited, so umbrellas, water and protection from the afternoon sun are important.

The Setting
Mareny de Vilxes is a broad fine-sand beach at the southern end of Sueca's coastal settlements, with a quieter residential frontage and open Mediterranean views. Its generous width and position away from the busiest resort areas give it a relaxed, local character.
Mareny de Vilxes belongs to Sueca and sits within a coastal landscape shaped by the Albufera plain, rice cultivation and a chain of small seaside communities. The inland town provides markets, restaurants and a stronger sense of the municipality's agricultural history.
Nearby Bega de Mar and Mareny de Barraquetes share the same long sandy coast, but Mareny de Vilxes remains a distinct monitored bathing area. Its quieter setting reflects the gradual transition towards less continuous development farther south.
The beach is low, broad and almost completely horizontal. Fine pale sand meets open water, while modest houses and coastal vegetation form a restrained rear edge. There are no cliffs or large harbour works to interrupt the line of sight.
The strongest landscape feature is space. Long views follow the shoreline in both directions, and the flat land behind allows the sky to feel unusually large. Mareny de Vilxes rewards visitors who appreciate calm surroundings and a less commercial beach, while still remaining connected to the lived-in coastal villages and rice-growing country of Sueca.
