About Playa de l'Almadrava
The beach feels orderly, relaxed and easy to use. Regular visitors walk the promenade, families settle near the access points, and the sand offers enough room for a conventional beach day without the scale of Heliopolis. Breakwaters help define the shoreline, although the water should still be judged by flags and lifeguard advice.
Accessibility is one of L'Almadrava's practical strengths, with adapted routes and seasonal assisted-bathing facilities. These services should be checked for current operating dates, but the physical layout remains straightforward. The pedestrian promenade also makes the rear of the beach pleasant for children, walkers and people avoiding traffic.

The Setting
L'Almadrava is a fine-sand beach in northern Benicassim, positioned directly south of Voramar along a fully pedestrian seafront promenade. Its protected sections, gentle profile and close services create a comfortable family setting with a quieter tone than the activity around Torre Sant Vicent.
The name recalls the almadrava, a traditional fixed-net fishing method once associated with this coast. That maritime reference gives the beach a connection with working coastal history even though the modern frontage is residential and recreational.
Espai Cultural de la Mar Villa Ana is a distinctive contemporary anchor along the promenade, while the historic villas continue north towards Voramar. Benicassim's town centre lies inland, with restaurants, accommodation and cultural events close enough to combine with the beach without dominating the waterline.
L'Almadrava is a low, open beach of pale sand backed by a wide pedestrian route and mature planting. Groynes separate it visually from neighbouring sections and can create smaller compartments along the shore.
The built environment remains modest in height compared with many Spanish resorts. Villas, gardens and apartment buildings form a continuous but not overpowering backdrop, leaving the horizon and long coastal views visible. To the north, the scene becomes more historic around Voramar; to the south, activity increases towards Torre Sant Vicent. L'Almadrava sits comfortably between the two, combining calm water access, promenade life and the linear landscape of Benicassim's seven-kilometre seafront.
