About Playa de Voramar
The atmosphere is polished but informal. Families, older visitors and regular summer residents share the sand, while walkers pass beneath mature gardens and villa facades along the promenade. Voramar is sociable in high season, yet the surrounding neighbourhood keeps the pace quieter than a nightlife-focused resort beach.
The gradual entry often suits relaxed bathing when the sea is settled, but visitors should still follow flags and lifeguard guidance. The beach is exposed to changing Mediterranean conditions, and marked channels for small craft must remain clear. Early morning is especially appealing for walking before the promenade becomes active.

The Setting
Voramar is the northernmost of Benicassim's five main beaches, a fine-sand shore beside the town's historic seaside villas. Its gentle slope, residential setting and elegant promenade give it a calmer, more established character than the busier central holiday areas farther south.
The Villas of Benicassim are the defining feature. Built from the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, these varied summer houses record the period when the town developed its reputation as a fashionable coastal retreat. Villa Elisa, now municipally owned, remains an important cultural venue within this historic strip.
The Hotel Voramar also gives the beach its familiar name and stands at the northern end near the old villas. Together, the hotel, gardens and residences create a local anchor based on the history of seaside leisure rather than a single ancient monument.
Voramar extends for roughly half a kilometre, with fine sand and a broad, gently shelving waterline. The promenade is lined by low walls, palms, gardens and detached villas instead of a continuous wall of tall apartments.
Northward, the coast begins to curve towards Oropesa del Mar and the Via Verde del Mar route. Southward, Voramar continues into L'Almadrava and the central Benicassim beaches. The landscape is therefore both contained and connected: a refined residential frontage beside an uninterrupted Mediterranean shore, where architecture and mature planting are as important to the view as the sand itself.
