About Playa de L'esparrelln
The atmosphere is discreet and relaxed. Visitors come for sunbathing, fishing and careful snorkelling rather than organised entertainment, and the mixed naturist use encourages a respectful, low-key mood. Its modest length means that personal space can become limited in the busiest weeks, despite the beach feeling secluded from the road.
The shore includes stones as well as sand, so footwear can make entry more comfortable. Rocky margins may offer interest when the sea is calm, but conditions, depth and visibility should be checked before swimming or exploring. There is little reason to expect extensive shade or a full range of urban services.

The Setting
L'Esparrello is a small mixed sand-and-pebble beach south of La Vila Joiosa, set below a developed coastal slope near La Caleta and Bon Nou. It is officially recognised as suitable for naturism and has a quieter, less conventional character than the town's central beach.
L'Esparrello belongs to La Vila Joiosa, whose historic centre and fishing port lie to the north. The town's coloured waterfront houses, maritime traditions and long-established chocolate industry provide the wider cultural setting, although they are not directly behind this beach.
The municipal coast here is a sequence of distinct coves and strands rather than one continuous resort beach. Bon Nou, La Caleta and Paradis are nearby, allowing visitors to understand how quickly the shoreline changes between gravel, sand, rock and developed slopes.
The beach occupies a narrow section of shore beneath low cliffs and residential vegetation. Pale stones and patches of sand meet clear-looking water, while the surrounding slopes create separation without making the setting untouched.
This is a beach valued for privacy and direct contact with the sea rather than dramatic monuments. The landscape is compressed and elemental: a short strand, rocky ends, Mediterranean water and the coastal hillside behind. Its naturist tradition and understated access distinguish it from La Vila Joiosa's larger, family-oriented beaches. Its limited scale also encourages visitors to carry out everything they bring and to leave the shore undisturbed.
