About Playa el Paradis
Paradis has a relaxed but well-used summer atmosphere. Families spread along the lengthy shore, beach bars and seasonal facilities add activity, and the available space makes it easier to find a quieter section than at a compact cove. The beach suits long stays, walking and uncomplicated time by the water rather than a tightly enclosed cala experience.
The shore combines sand with rounded stones, so entry may feel firmer than the appearance suggests. Open-sea conditions can produce waves, and swimmers should follow flags and marked zones. Shade is limited across most of the strand despite vegetation and development on the slopes behind.

The Setting
Playa El Paradis is a long mixed sand-and-pebble beach south of La Vila Joiosa, extending for roughly a kilometre below residential slopes. Its size, seasonal services and less urban setting make it a spacious alternative to the town's central beach.
La Vila Joiosa's old town and fishing port lie a short distance north. The coloured seafront houses, working fleet and chocolate-making heritage give the municipality its distinctive identity, while Paradis remains outside the densest urban frontage.
Nearby Bon Nou, L'Esparrello and La Caleta form a sequence of smaller beaches along the same southern coast. Their different proportions show how quickly this shoreline changes from a long open strand to compact pebble coves.
The beach stretches in a broad, gently curving line beneath low residential hills. Sand and pebbles form a pale shore, with rocky ground becoming more evident towards the boundaries. The Mediterranean horizon remains wide because no major headland closes the view.
Paradis is not untouched, yet development sits back enough for the beach to retain scale and breathing room. Its appeal lies in length, openness and the contrast between the broad strand and the smaller coves nearby. The result is a practical coastal landscape that still feels separate from central La Vila. Long views along the strand also make it suitable for an extended shoreline walk when temperatures are comfortable.
