About Playa Cala de la Foradada
The beach feels residential, quiet and informal. People come for a brief swim, shore fishing or a peaceful stop while following the northern coastal road. It is not designed around large crowds or extensive services, and the limited flat space encourages visitors to travel lightly. Access details should be checked before setting out.
Stones and submerged rock make footwear useful, while wave conditions determine whether the shore is suitable for swimming or snorkelling. Calm, clear water can reveal interesting rocky ground, but the same features become difficult when swell arrives. Visitors should avoid climbing or jumping from unstable margins.

The Setting
Playa de les Cales is a small mixed shoreline on Vinaros's northern coast, forming part of the long sequence of coves beyond the town centre. Its name reflects the fragmented geography of this area, where gravel beaches, low rock and short inlets replace a continuous urban strand.
Les Cales belongs firmly to Vinaros, not to the Catalan fishing town of L'Ametlla de Mar. The nearest practical centre is Vinaros itself, with its port, market and restaurants several kilometres to the south.
The northern coast can be explored as a linked landscape of named beaches, including Foradada, Triador and Pinar. Each is small, but together they explain why Vinaros promotes its coves as a distinctive part of the municipality. The route eventually approaches the Sol de Riu natural area and the Senia River.
Low rocky shelves divide short stretches of gravel and coarse sand, producing an irregular waterline rather than a single sweeping bay. Holiday homes and Mediterranean planting occupy the land behind the beach without creating a formal city promenade.
The view is open across the sea but contained along the shore by small points and inlets. Les Cales is memorable less for one landmark than for its position within this repeated pattern. It offers a modest, textured coastal experience where the interest lies in rock, water clarity and the gradual sequence of Vinaros's northern coves.
