About Playa de Forti
The mood is lively, local and family-friendly. Residents use the promenade for walking and exercise throughout the year, while summer brings swimmers, beach games and a steady flow between the sand, cafes and town streets. Its length allows different sections to develop their own rhythm, from busy access points to calmer stretches.
The beach faces open Mediterranean water despite its urban setting. Flags and lifeguard guidance should determine swimming decisions, and marked craft channels must remain clear. Shade is limited on the sand, but the promenade and nearby businesses make breaks easy without leaving the waterfront.

The Setting
Playa del Forti is Vinaros's principal central beach, extending along the town's seafront between the fishing-port area and the northern urban promenade. Fine sand mixed with occasional gravel, easy access and close services make it the municipality's most convenient choice for a full town-and-beach day.
Vinaros's fishing port and municipal market express the town's close relationship with the sea. The port remains active with commercial and leisure boats, while the market occupies an early twentieth-century iron-framed building on the site of the former San Telmo convent.
The town is especially associated with the Vinaros king prawn, celebrated in local cooking and annual gastronomic events. That reputation belongs to the whole municipality, but Playa del Forti is the beach most directly connected with the restaurants, streets and everyday life of the centre.
Forti forms a long urban sweep of pale sand beneath a broad promenade lined with palms, low buildings and public spaces. There are no enclosing cliffs, so the horizon remains open and the changing movement of boats is visible from much of the shore.
Southward, the coastline approaches the port and Playa del Clot; northward, it continues towards Fora del Forat and the smaller coves. The landscape is unmistakably urban, yet the beach is wide enough for sea and sky to remain dominant. Its strength is immediate access to Vinaros rather than separation from it.
