The coast feels softer and more sheltered than the island's rugged north, although it remains open enough for southerly swell to reach the beach. The shoreline broadens and narrows between sandy sections, and natural vegetation becomes more prominent toward Binigaus. Water clarity can be excellent in settled conditions, but conditions still vary between adjacent beaches. A short walk along the coast is the best way to appreciate the change from managed resort frontage to a more natural Menorcan landscape.
