About Playa las Delicias
Las Delicias is lively, family-oriented and used throughout the year. Residents walk and exercise along the promenade, swimmers use the central sections and summer visitors move easily between the shore and nearby services. The long frontage allows activity to spread beyond the busiest entrances.
The beach faces a broad Mediterranean bay and often offers manageable conditions, although wind and waves still vary. Seasonal rescue services, accessible facilities and nearby food businesses support a full day. Morning and evening are particularly popular for walking and running.

The Setting
Playa Las Delicias forms a long urban shoreline on the eastern side of Aguilas, between the town centre and El Hornillo. Its golden sand, broad promenade and close access to homes, restaurants and sports facilities make it one of the municipality's most practical city beaches.
The Aguilas Auditorium and Congress Centre stands near the eastern side with its distinctive white waterfront architecture. The town's railway and mining heritage also connects Las Delicias with El Hornillo's historic mineral pier farther east.
Central Aguilas lies west beneath the Castillo de San Juan de las Aguilas. Restaurants serve fish, shellfish, rice and Murcian dishes, while the promenade provides a continuous social route between the town and eastern beaches.
Golden sand extends below palms, promenade paving, apartment buildings and public facilities. The shoreline is urban but broad enough for the Mediterranean to remain visually dominant.
Eastward, the coast leads towards El Hornillo and Isla del Fraile. Westward, central beaches and the castle become more prominent. Dry hills rise behind the city, contrasting with the blue bay. Las Delicias is defined by accessibility and continuity: town, promenade, cultural buildings and long family beach connected along Aguilas's eastern waterfront. The promenade continues towards central Aguilas, making the beach particularly useful for visitors staying within town. Sports areas and public spaces behind the sand keep the waterfront active well outside the main summer season. The beach also works well for a short city-centre swim.
