About Playa Dels Pescadors
This is a busy, social beach used by local families, regular swimmers and visitors arriving by train. The central position means the atmosphere continues beyond the sand, with shops, cafes and evening walks along the seafront. It is well suited to a beach visit without a car, though the main accesses can become crowded in summer.
The shore shelves more steeply than a shallow lagoon, and short Mediterranean waves can break with force after wind. Swimmers should follow flags and stay alert when the sea changes. The central location brings convenience, but not guaranteed calm.

The Setting
Platja dels Pescadors is one of Badalona's most central beaches, extending for about 470 metres between Riera de Matamoros and Carrer de Mar. Golden sand, easy access from the station and immediate links to the Rambla make it a practical urban beach with a strong connection to the city's maritime past.
The name recalls the fishermen who traditionally worked from this part of Badalona's shore. Fishing boats were once drawn directly onto the sand, and the waterfront remains an important part of local identity even as the city has changed around it.
Carrer de Mar leads inland towards the historic centre, while the Rambla runs parallel to the coast under palms and plane trees. The Museu de Badalona and the Roman remains of Baetulo offer a deeper view of the city, making it easy to combine beach time with culture and food.
The beach averages around 55 metres wide and sits below the coastal railway, a defining feature of the Maresme shoreline. Underpasses connect the town to the sand, after which the view opens across the Mediterranean.
The northern boundary lies near Riera de Matamoros, while the southern end meets the smaller Patins a Vela section. Seasonal changes can move sand along the coast, altering the width and slope of the waterline.
Pescadors feels urban in every direction except seaward. Behind are station, streets and the old centre; ahead is a clear horizon broken only by boats. That contrast gives the beach its appeal: everyday Badalona reaches the water here without losing its history.
