About Playa Torrevigia - Torrequebrada
Torrevigia-Torrequebrada feels relaxed, residential and focused on straightforward bathing. Visitors from nearby hotels and apartments reach the shore through established accesses, while families and couples settle within a limited sandy area. Summer use can be high because the cove has less room than the central beaches.
The mixed dark surface includes gravel and stones near parts of the waterline. Rocky edges attract snorkellers in calm conditions, although waves and local currents still require attention. Services are available within the surrounding resort area, but the beach itself feels less commercial than Malapesquera or Bil Bil.

The Setting
Playa Torrevigia-Torrequebrada covers a compact section of Benalmadena Costa beneath the developed Torrequebrada area. Its dark sand, rocky margins and smaller scale provide a calmer alternative to the broad urban beaches around Bil Bil and Santa Ana.
The Torrequebrada district is the immediate anchor, known for its hotel, casino and golf course as well as residential development along Avenida del Sol. The name also recalls the historic coastal watchtower system that monitored this once-exposed shoreline.
Benalmadena Pueblo rises inland, offering the municipality's older white-village centre. Along the coast, restaurants and chiringuitos serve espetos, fried fish and seafood, connecting the developed resort with Malaga's continuing maritime food traditions.
Dark sand and gravel form a short Mediterranean beach framed by rocky points and low cliffs. Hotels, apartments and landscaped grounds rise behind, but the broken coast prevents the buildings from creating one continuous promenade wall.
Eastward, the shoreline approaches Los Melilleros and Arroyo de la Miel. Westward, small coves lead towards La Yuca, Arroyohondo and Torremuelle. The view is more enclosed than at Benalmadena's long eastern frontage, with rock and development shaping both ends. Torrevigia-Torrequebrada is defined by compact scale, clear-looking water and its position within the municipality's more varied western coastline. Short walking links connect the surrounding residential area with neighbouring coves, although gradients can be noticeable on the notably steeper residential approaches from Avenida del Sol.
