About Playa Torremuelle - Carvajal
Torremuelle-Carvajal feels relaxed, residential and well suited to long beach days. Families use the broader sandy sections, walkers follow the shoreline towards Fuengirola and visitors arrive easily from nearby rail stops and coastal roads. The pace is generally calmer than around Puerto Marina.
The surface combines dark sand, gravel and occasional stones. Mediterranean conditions are often moderate, though easterly winds can bring short waves and move coarse material along the shore. Restaurants and seasonal services are available around the developed sections, while quieter spaces appear between the main access points.

The Setting
Playa Torremuelle-Carvajal occupies the western end of Benalmadena's coastline near the boundary with Fuengirola. Its long dark shore, railway access and mixture of residential development and rocky headlands create a practical beach with a more open character than the compact central coves.
Torremuelle is known for its coastal railway station and residential hillside, while Carvajal continues west into Fuengirola. The beach therefore sits across a practical municipal transition where local names and administrative boundaries meet along one continuous shoreline.
The Torre del Muelle, associated with the old coastal watch system, gives the area historical depth. Inland, Benalmadena Pueblo rises above the sea, while beach restaurants maintain Malaga traditions through sardine espetos, grilled fish and seafood.
Dark sand and gravel form a long Mediterranean frontage below apartment buildings, villas, palms and sections of rocky coast. The railway and main coastal road run close behind but are partly screened by development and slopes.
Eastward, Torremuelle leads towards smaller coves, La Yuca and Torrequebrada. Westward, Carvajal opens into Fuengirola's continuous urban beaches. The terrain rises quickly inland, producing elevated homes and long views along the water. Torremuelle-Carvajal is defined by movement and transition: railway, coastal road, municipal boundary and broad beach all following the same narrow strip between hillside and sea. Elevated viewpoints from the residential slopes reveal how quickly the coast changes from compact rocky coves to a much broader urban beach.
