About Playa de Les Marines

The Vibe

The beach feels sociable without being confined to one centre. Visitors choose between serviced sections near road access, quieter spaces beside dunes and the Albaranes stretch closest to Punta del Raset. Families value the generous sand and generally gradual entry, while walkers use the length of the beach to move beyond the busiest areas.

Conditions can differ along such an extended shoreline. Flags should be checked at the nearest supervised point, and swimmers need to respect marked channels for small craft. Natural shade is scarce, while protected dune vegetation should be viewed from boardwalks and recognised paths rather than crossed directly.

The Setting

About

Les Marines is a broad sandy beach beginning close to Denia's town centre and extending north for more than three kilometres. Fine sand, protected dune sections and a wide range of access points make it one of the municipality's most practical beaches for families and longer stays.

The Local Anchor

Les Marines begins only a short distance north of Denia's port and Baix la Mar quarter. The castle remains visible from parts of the shore, connecting a modern beach day with the historic town rising behind the harbour.

The first sector is commonly known as Les Albaranes, and Parc de Les Bassetes provides a green and recreational reference farther along the coast. Restaurants, apartments and seasonal services are distributed along the Les Marines road, so the experience changes depending on the chosen access rather than following one continuous promenade.

The Landscape

A long band of pale sand meets an open Mediterranean horizon, with low dunes and coastal planting surviving between developed sections. The beach is broad enough for sport and family activity, while the Montgo massif provides a strong inland landmark when the air is clear.

Les Marines is more varied than a single resort strand. Urban proximity is strongest near Denia, then gradually softens as the coast runs north. Its landscape is defined by this transition from harbour-side town to dunes, low housing and the wider sandy plain of northern Denia.
