About Playa Punta del Raset
The beach is lively, strongly family-focused and closely connected to Denia's daily life. Residents arrive on foot or by bicycle, visitors move easily from the nearby port and children have plenty of room for play on a broad, gently sloping shore. Seasonal beach bars and activities add energy, particularly near the main entrances.
The harbour wall can reduce some exposure, but swimmers should still follow flags and respect marked channels. The shallow-looking edge is not a substitute for supervision, and conditions near the breakwater may differ from those farther along the sand. Dune areas should be crossed only on the provided walkways.

The Setting
Punta del Raset is Denia's closest major sandy beach to the port and historic centre, beginning beside the northern harbour breakwater. Around five hundred metres of fine sand, protected dune vegetation and easy town access give it a distinctive balance of urban convenience and natural detail.
Denia's port and Baix la Mar quarter form the immediate anchor. Fishing boats, ferries and leisure craft all contribute to the waterfront, while the castle rises above the town and remains visible from parts of the beach.
Punta del Raset also marks the beginning of the long Les Marines coastline. Walking north leads into Les Marines and its more extended residential beachscape; walking south returns quickly to restaurants, museums and the historic streets around the harbour. This central location makes the beach especially useful for visitors exploring Denia without a car.
Fine golden sand curves away from the north breakwater, with small dune zones supporting protected flora and fauna behind the beach. The water view includes harbour structures on one side and an open horizon towards the north.
The landscape is neither fully urban nor remotely wild. Port activity, castle views and town access are balanced by sand, dunes and broad sky. Punta del Raset's character comes from that meeting point, where Denia's working waterfront gives way to the long beaches of Les Marines.
