About Playa de Santa Llncia
The shore is made from fine pebbles and shingle rather than soft powdery sand, creating clear water and a distinctive sound as small waves draw back across the stones. Summer brings the greatest activity, but the surrounding rocky coast and low development keep the setting grounded in the landscape. It suits visitors who appreciate a practical beach without expecting an urban promenade.

The Setting
Santa Llucia is one of the best-known bathing places on the short coast of El Perello. It has a friendly, settled atmosphere, with enough room and nearby facilities for families while still feeling far removed from a large resort.
El Perello lies inland and is strongly associated with honey, olive oil and dry-stone agricultural country. That identity reaches the coast through local food, small-scale tourism and the paths connecting the municipality's beaches. The restored windmill at the southern entrance to the village and the viewpoint at the Sant Cristofol hermitage are useful reminders that the beach belongs to a much broader territory of ridges, olive groves and old routes. Along the sea, the GR 92 coastal path links Santa Llucia with Morro de Gos, Cala Buena and Pont de l'Alia, making the beach a natural starting point for exploring the rest of the Perello shoreline.
The beach occupies a curved bay framed by rocky points and Mediterranean scrub. Pale stones and golden-toned shingle continue into transparent water, although submerged rock may occur near the margins. The bay can appear sheltered in light weather, but easterly wind and swell still reach this coast and can change swimming conditions quickly. Low cliffs and the coastal path provide elevated views, while the nearby developed area remains modest in scale. There is little natural shade on the beach, so protection from the sun is important. Santa Llucia's character comes from the contrast between a comfortable bathing area and the rugged coast around it: a clear, stony shore, dry vegetation and long views towards the lower Ebro landscape.
