About Playa s'Illot de Sant Lloren

The Vibe

At the northern side of Cala Moreia, the beach remains part of the continuous seafront of S’Illot, yet the administrative setting changes from Manacor to Sant Llorenç des Cardassar.

Sand, promenade and buildings continue around the bay. This coordinate and legacy bathing-water code belong to the Sant Llorenç side, while the neighbouring record refers to Manacor.

The beach is open enough for wind and wave conditions to vary. Its sheltered appearance should therefore be read together with the day’s beach flags and official local information.

The Setting

The Local Anchor

S’Illot is one coastal place shared by two municipalities. Sant Llorenç’s part sits beside Sa Coma, while Manacor’s coast continues south towards Cala Morlanda and Porto Cristo. Near the municipal edge, the small creek known locally as the riuet, its bridge and the modest wharf are familiar features of the settlement.

A further anchor lies just inland: the prehistoric settlement of S’Illot, within Sant Llorenç des Cardassar. Its surviving talayotic structures connect this modern resort frontage with a much older pattern of occupation on Mallorca’s eastern coast.

The Landscape

Spain.info maintains a Cala Moreia entry for Sant Llorenç, describing a sandy urban beach approximately 350 metres long and 35 metres wide, with straightforward pedestrian and road access. The listing should be understood as the municipality’s sector of the same broad named shore, not a second distant cove.

The physical landscape is therefore continuous: a gently curving sandy beach backed by promenade and buildings, with rocky margins and the small offshore islet associated with S’Illot. Seasonal rentals, showers, cleaning and other services reinforce its urban character. The value of this separate report is precision—placing the northern coordinate correctly without merging it with the Manacor bathing-water entry immediately beside it.
