About Playa Cala Millor (cala Nau)
The Vibe
Cala Millor is a long urban beach whose scale is felt immediately: sand and promenade continue along the eastern coast, joining two municipal sectors within one continuous resort landscape.
This report concerns the southern part in Sant Llorenç des Cardassar, monitored officially as Cala Millor (Cala Nau). Sea, sand and the straight rhythm of the promenade dominate the foreground, with hotels and apartments forming a close urban edge behind.

The Setting
The Local Anchor
Cala Millor developed as a tourism centre from the mid-twentieth century and now extends across the boundary between Sant Llorenç des Cardassar and Son Servera. The shared place-name can conceal that administrative division: each municipality manages its own section, and each has a separate bathing-water identity.
South of this coordinate, the coastline approaches the protected Punta de n’Amer peninsula, which separates Cala Millor from Sa Coma. The headland provides the area’s strongest natural counterpoint to the built resort, preserving low vegetation, dunes and a historic defensive tower within walking distance of the urban beach.
The Landscape
Spain.info describes Cala Millor as a sandy beach approximately 1,750 metres long and 35 metres wide, with white sand, easy pedestrian and road access and a high degree of urban development. The promenade runs behind much of the shore, connecting accommodation, restaurants and public services.
Seasonal rentals, toilets, showers, cleaning and tourist information form part of the managed environment. At the Sant Llorenç end, the official Cala Nau designation provides the precise local reference. It distinguishes this southern reach from the Son Servera section farther north without suggesting a break in the sand itself: physically, Cala Millor remains one long bay; administratively, it is carefully divided.
