Playa Cala Millor (cala Nau)

The atmosphere is active, practical and family-oriented. Morning exercise gives way to sunbeds, games and water activities, while cafes and hotels keep the seafront busy into the evening. The southern reach usually feels slightly less compressed than the central resort frontage, especially near the transition towards Punta de n'Amer.

An easterly breeze can send short waves across the open bay and shift sand around the entry line. Water-sport lanes are positioned through parts of the offshore buoy system, so swimmers and paddle users need to recognise where equipment is being launched. The promenade is shared by pedestrians and cycles, calling for attention when crossing from hotels to the beach.

Cala Millor Cala Nau is the southern Sant Llorenc des Cardassar section of the long Cala Millor beach, which continues north across the municipal boundary into Son Servera. Fine sand, a level promenade and immediate resort services make it a highly accessible east-coast holiday beach.

Cala Millor developed across two municipalities but functions as one continuous resort. The Cala Nau name identifies the southern monitored sector rather than a separate village, an important distinction when describing facilities or nearby landmarks.

At the lower end of the resort, Punta de n'Amer protects a peninsula of scrub, dunes and pine with walking routes leading to a seventeenth-century defensive tower. This undeveloped headland gives Cala Nau a stronger connection with natural landscape than the hotel-lined central sections farther north.

The beach forms a broad, almost straight strip of light sand facing open Mediterranean water. Hotels and apartments create a continuous rear edge, but the view south gradually opens towards the low green profile of Punta de n'Amer.

Its visual strength is scale rather than enclosure. Long sightlines encourage walking, and the difference between dense resort frontage and protected headland becomes clearer with every step south. Cala Nau therefore offers the familiar convenience of Cala Millor while providing the easiest transition into the peninsula's quieter paths and coastal outlook.
