About Playa del Conde
The beach feels local and sociable, with families and regular visitors sharing a relatively small area of sand. Because everything is close together, summer occupation can become high, especially near the easiest access and the streets leading towards cafes and restaurants. Earlier hours suit quieter bathing and a short shoreline walk.
The bay's shape can soften some conditions, but it should not be treated as permanently calm. Swimmers need to follow flags and remain aware of rocks, harbour movement and changing waves. The compact scale also means there is less room to move away from activity than at Las Higuericas or Mil Palmeras.

The Setting
Playa del Conde is a compact sandy beach in Torre de la Horadada, close to the historic watchtower and the small marina. Its urban setting, sheltered-looking curve and direct connection with the old coastal neighbourhood give it a more intimate character than the long beaches farther south.
The Torre de la Horadada is the defining landmark. Built in 1591 as a coastal watchtower, it formed part of the defence against seaborne raids and later gave its name to the settlement that developed around this section of shore.
The marina and Club Nautico lie nearby, adding sailing activity and harbour life to the neighbourhood. Pilar de la Horadada's main town is inland, so Playa del Conde belongs to a distinctly maritime community of low streets, summer homes and small beaches arranged around the tower and port.
Golden sand occupies a modest urban bay edged by low rock and the built frontage of Torre de la Horadada. The view is contained compared with the municipality's long open beaches, and the watchtower provides a strong historical point above the modern seaside setting.
Neighbouring coves and the port break the coastline into short sections, each with a separate identity despite their proximity. Playa del Conde is memorable because the beach, tower and marina can all be experienced within a compact walk, creating a layered scene of bathing, boating and coastal history rather than an uninterrupted resort strand.
