Playa el Castillico

El Castillico feels sociable, local and closely integrated with town life. Families arrive from nearby streets, walkers and cyclists use the seafront and small sailing craft move across the lagoon. The Mar Menor generally has limited wave action compared with the Mediterranean, although wind can quickly make the surface choppy. Playa El Castillico forms part of Santiago de la Ribera's long Mar Menor waterfront in the municipality of San Javier. Its fine sand, shallow lagoon water and close connection with the promenade make it a practical family beach used throughout the year.
