About Playa Binibeca
The beach is compact enough to feel intimate but well known enough to become busy in high summer. Families and couples gather around the gently sloping central strand, while seasonal facilities and nearby places to eat give the day an uncomplicated holiday rhythm. It is not a remote discovery, and describing it as empty would misrepresent a cove that is one of the established bathing places of southern Menorca.
What keeps Binibequer Nou attractive is the way the natural frame remains visible. Low rocks enclose the water, pines and coastal plants soften the rear of the sand, and the surrounding homes do not form a heavy urban wall. The result is relaxed and sociable, with more shelter than Punta Prima and a stronger sense of enclosure.

The Setting
Binibequer Nou is the sandy beach of the Binibeca coastal area in Sant Lluis, set in a small inlet on Menorca's south-eastern shore. It is a popular serviced cove whose fine sand, rocky sides and residential surroundings create a balance between convenience and island character.
Binibeca Vell lies west of the beach and is the area's best-known landmark. Its whitewashed lanes and closely grouped houses look traditional, but the settlement is a modern planned development inspired by Mediterranean fishing villages rather than an ancient village preserved unchanged.
That distinction matters because the beach belongs to a living residential and holiday district. Cala Torret lies to the east, adding small waterfront restaurants and boat activity to the wider coastal setting without turning the cove itself into a marina.
The official bathing-water record identifies this point as Playa Binibeca PM1. The beach occupies the head of a rounded inlet, with pale sand through the centre and rock, seagrass and darker seabed patches towards the margins.
Its south-eastern aspect means the water can look exceptionally clear in calm weather, although the inlet is not immune to onshore wind. The strongest visual elements are modest in scale: a short sandy shore, low limestone edges, scattered vegetation and white housing set back around the bay.
