Playa de Sant Vicenn

The atmosphere is relaxed and slightly more residential than resort-driven. Families gather near the main facilities, regular swimmers use the shore early in the day and the promenade remains active into the evening. Its length allows visitors to move away from the busiest entrances without leaving the serviced area.

The beach faces the open Mediterranean and can develop moderate waves. Coarse sand and a sloping seabed require normal care, particularly for younger swimmers. Flags, lifeguard advice and marked nautical channels should guide where people enter the water.

Platja de Sant Vicenc is the long town beach of Sant Vicenc de Montalt, stretching for more than a kilometre along the central Maresme coast. Coarse golden sand, a seafront promenade and broad access points make it a comfortable beach for families, walkers and visitors staying between Caldes d'Estrac and Llavaneres.

The Passeig del Marques de Casa Riera is the immediate anchor, following the seafront past gardens, homes and restaurants. The municipality's historic village centre lies inland on rising ground, giving Sant Vicenc two distinct faces: an old settlement near the hills and a modern residential coast.

The green slopes of the Serralada Litoral form the wider backdrop. Nearby Caldes d'Estrac adds thermal baths and cultural attractions, while Sant Andreu de Llavaneres continues the residential shoreline to the west.

The beach is broad, linear and composed of coarse sand. The municipality has worked to protect dune vegetation and native coastal plants in selected parts of the upper shore, adding natural texture to an otherwise developed seafront.

There are few enclosing headlands, so the horizon feels wide and wind moves freely across the beach. Sand levels can change after storms, and the waterline may become steeper during rougher periods.

Looking east, the coast leads towards Caldes and Arenys; westward, it continues towards Llavaneres and Mataro. Platja de Sant Vicenc succeeds through scale and accessibility rather than seclusion, offering a long Mediterranean shore connected to promenade life, residential neighbourhoods and the green hills just inland.
