Playa Cala Llonga

The mood is relaxed and family-focused. Children use the generous sand, hotel guests move between the bay and nearby restaurants, and water activities operate beyond the main swimming area. The resort is lively in summer but does not usually carry the club-driven atmosphere found around Ibiza Town or Sant Antoni.

The inlet often provides shelter, though wind direction and boat traffic can still change the water. Flags and lifeguard instructions should guide swimming, and marked craft lanes must remain clear. The beach's width creates space for games and organised facilities, while the promenade and side streets offer convenient breaks from the sun.

Cala Llonga is a deep, wide bay on Ibiza's east coast, enclosed by steep pine-covered hills and backed by a compact family resort. Its broad sandy beach, gently shelving appearance and concentration of services make it one of Santa Eularia's most accessible places for a full beach day.

Cala Llonga sits between Santa Eularia and Ibiza Town, with buses and seasonal boat links making it practical without a car. The nearby Roca Llisa area contains Ibiza's established golf course, although the wooded hills hide much of the development from the beach itself.

Walking routes and viewpoints above the bay reveal how deeply the sea cuts into the eastern coastline. The surrounding slopes also explain the cove's sheltered feeling and the limited number of road approaches.

A broad band of pale sand fills the head of a long inlet. Pine-covered hills rise sharply on both sides, while resort buildings remain concentrated behind the beach and along parts of the lower slopes.

The bay's proportions are its defining feature. From the waterline, the headlands create a strong natural frame; from above, the beach appears as a bright rectangle of sand at the end of a blue corridor. Cala Llonga is not a hidden cove, but the combination of dramatic enclosure and practical services gives it a character more distinctive than a conventional urban resort beach.
